Bye TX

Sitting in DFW Airport awaiting my plane to London. I had a wonderful time visiting friends and family in TX. If I weren't so rushed for time, I could tell you more about the conversations, stories, and good times. I will miss all ya'll!
PJ and Jay
Thanks to my brother Jay and his wife PJ for letting me hang with them in Pottsboro. Lots of great conversations, and laughter. I gave them a swing dance lesson, now they are ready to paint the town red! Thanks also to Jay for letting me borrow his truck.
I don't think I have ever felt so small.
I drove a couple of hours East to see my beast friend from grade school, Krista and her family. They live in Como, TX and have a very successful farm supply business. Can you believe Krista drives this Big Rig?! I am so impressed!
Krista Barnhart and I
Sulphur Springs, TX (where my family has lived since the late 1800's) was my next destination.
One of my Mom's best friends Christine McCorckle drove me around town and pointed out all the changes that had happened in recent  years. She is also the harvester of some of the best pecans in the county! yum!
It is always at treat visiting with Christine and her daughter Amy, who is the local county judge. Good times!
Christine and I. Visiting Mom!
Amy, tellin' stories.
The last stop of the night was in Enloe TX, for dinner with my cousins Carol and Jeannie. Carol made a delish jumbalaya! They are crazy fun - always have been!

Bye Texas! It was a fun visit. I'll miss your lesser roads, and midnight drives.
